About us

Our Mission

Balasai Global Care is a non-profit association supporting the work of the Balasai Baba Trust in and around Kurnool, one of India’s poorest regions. Together, we carry out projects that bring lasting improvements to the lives of people in need, guided by our core principle:
Helping people help themselves.

We currently focus on two main projects approved under India’s Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), ensuring fully transparent implementation and oversight:

  • Annadanam – daily meals for people in need at Kurnool Ashram

  • Support for a residential community for orphaned children and adults living with HIV

These projects provide daily meals, basic medical care and compassionate support, bringing hope and dignity to the people we serve.

Inspired by the humanitarian and spiritual teachings of the Indian spiritual figure and avatar Balasai Baba, revered for his selfless service to those most in need, we support initiatives that help people build a future with dignity.

Looking Ahead

Alongside our ongoing FCRA projects, we are working to expand our support. Our plans include wider access to free healthcare, sight-saving eye surgery, educational support for children from families living in poverty, dedicated programmes for women and single mothers, and assistance for people with disabilities. We also aim to protect the environment through clean-up projects in forests and rivers.

Our goal is to stand alongside people facing hardship, helping them regain the means to support themselves — with dignity, lasting support and mutual respect.

Annadanam – Daily Meals for People in Need at Kurnool Ashram

In Kurnool, southern India, many people living in extreme poverty face severe hardship. Children, older people and those living without care or support suffer from malnutrition, infections caused by contaminated water and a lack of access to healthcare.

Through our Annadanam daily meal programme at Kurnool Ashram, they receive a warm, nutritious meal every day — bringing hope, supporting health and upholding dignity.

The project is delivered in partnership with the Balasai Baba Trust in India and meets the strict FCRA requirements for project-based aid programmes. This ensures fully transparent operations and legal compliance, with ongoing oversight by the Indian authorities.

Our aims and impact:

  • Provide a nutritious daily meal for people most in need

  • Improve health and quality of life

  • Build a sense of community and uphold human dignity

A Home for Orphaned Children Living with HIV

In India, people living with HIV — young and old alike — still face stigma and exclusion. Orphaned children born with HIV, whose parents have often died of AIDS, are especially vulnerable. Without family support, medical care or access to education, many face life on the streets — without shelter, food or hope for the future.

Together with the Balasai Baba Trust in India, we support a small residential community near Kurnool in southern India. Here, children and adults living with HIV find a safe and caring home where they are treated with respect.

Our support includes:

  • Regular meals

  • Special protein supplements for children who are particularly weak

  • Access to education, compassionate care and emotional support

Our aim is to help everyone in this community live with dignity and hope — and give children the chance to simply be children.
