About us

We are a group of long-standing followers of the Indian avatar Sri Balasai Baba. Over many years, we had the honour of spending time with Him at His ashram in India. We were deeply moved by the compassion put into practice there and by the many lasting initiatives of the Balasai Baba Trust, which He founded in Kurnool, India.

What particularly inspires us is that the Trust operates with almost no administrative costs. Dedicated Indian volunteers give their time and skills, helping donations reach those who need them most, directly and with minimal bureaucracy.

Guided by the principle of helping people help themselves, we support projects that enable people to rebuild their lives with dignity and greater independence. This approach inspired us to establish the non-profit association Balasai Global Care, whose purpose is to support development initiatives in India.

Our board brings together members from Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. Together, we work to raise funds across Europe to provide direct, lasting support for people living in extreme poverty in India.

Developing educational and healthcare facilities is especially close to our hearts. Our plans include establishing a secondary school, a higher education institution and a hospital for people living in extreme poverty. By providing lasting access to education and medical care, we hope to open up real opportunities for the future.

Every donation is passed on in full to the Balasai Baba Trust in India. As an officially registered and vetted charitable organisation authorised to receive foreign donations under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), the Trust is subject to strict requirements and oversight.

Its projects range from healthcare, meal programmes and educational support to programmes for women, environmental initiatives and assistance for widows, orphans and others in need.

Transparency is central to everything we do. Our association complies with the strict requirements of Austrian association law and the legal requirements governing charitable work in India. We maintain transparent accounts and ensure that donations are used for their designated projects.

Together, we want to ensure that help reaches those who need it — directly, sustainably and with compassion
